The Rhodes Scholarships, the preeminent and oldest global scholarships programme in the world, are for post-graduate, full-time studies at Oxford University in the UK. Online applications are invited from outstanding young graduates who excel academically; demonstrate leadership skills and are committed to making a difference in the broader community, both locally and internationally.
Ten Rhodes Scholarships are awarded annually to graduates in the Southern African constituency (comprising South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia and eSwatini), wishing to pursue Masters or doctoral studies at Oxford University in most disciplines/fields of study.

Master’s and PhD
Applications for 2023 open on 01 June 2022 and close on 01 August 2022.
The Rhodes Scholarship fully covers two years of study and most of the graduate’s expenses in Oxford, including:
The Trust does not provide financial assistance for undergraduate degrees; or to postgraduate students who are studying at other universities in the UK or elsewhere; or to students who have not gone through the formal selection process for the Rhodes Scholarships in Southern Africa.
Any postgraduate full-time studies at Oxford University.
