The Government of Cyprus in collaboration with the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING), is offering up to three (3) postgraduate scholarships to South African nationals for the 2025–2026 academic year, subject to availability.

Degree level
Master of Science (MSc) Programmes
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be citizens and residents of South Africa;
- Successfully complete a minimum of 50 ECTS from taught courses (including tutorials), and a minimum of 40 ECTS from the research or library project during the MSc programme;
- Meet the admission requirements of the MSc programmes, including:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognised and accredited institution;
- Proof of English language proficiency (certification or other accepted international standards), if the previous qualification was not completed in English.
Fields of Study
Scholarships are available for the following MSc programmes at CING:
- MSc in Molecular Medicine
- MSc in Medical Genetics
- MSc in Neuroscience
- MSc in Biotechnology
Scholarship Coverage
The scholarship includes:
- Full tuition fee waiver (valued at €8,000), awarded to candidates based on academic merit and fulfilment of CING’s entry requirements;
- A monthly stipend of up to €1,000 for 12 months to cover accommodation and living expenses in Cyprus.
Please Note:
Applicants should make additional financial provisions for expenses not covered by the scholarship.
