The Korea Development Institute School of Public Policy and Management are offering full scholarships to international students to pursue postgraduate programmes in Public Policy and Management.
KDI School of Public Policy and Management is a graduate school founded with an authorization from the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development.
The aim of the programme is to educate and develop the next generation of leaders, by inviting key personnel from economic and policy-related departments around the world to contribute to fostering foreign outstanding individuals.

Who can apply?
Applicants must:
- Be an international student;
- Have a qualifications from accredited college or university;
- Must have at least 1 year of work experience in the public sector (internship, fellowship, employment, etc.);
- Applicants must not be enrolled in other institutions after February 2022. If an applicant is found to have dual registration (being registered to another institution), the offered admission will be revoked.
Applicants for Master’s degree programme:
- Applicants who have previously participated in any of the Korean Government’s Scholarship Programme for Master’s cannot apply;
- Must have a four year qualification equivalent to a NQF level 8;
- Must submit transcripts from undergraduate institutions and degree certificates;
- MUST submit an official document issued by the applicant’s alma mater describing the university’s grade system.
Applicants for Ph.D. programme:
- Applicants who have previously participated in any of the Korean Government’s Scholarship Programme for Ph.D. cannot apply;
- Must a master's degree ;
- Must submit all academic transcripts (undergraduate and postgraduate);
- MUST submit an official document issued by the applicant’s alma mater describing the university’s grade system.

4. Master in Intellectual Property and Development Policy (MIPD) |

- Acquire broader and deeper knowledge of the principles and sources of international intellectual property law and understanding of how these are changing as a result of globalization; - Understand the framework for analyzing policy making for economic growth and sustainable development; - Appreciate the role of IP as a tool for development; - Develop the capacity to evaluate and examine various implications of IP laws and policy for socio-economic development; - Obtain a global perspective and professional expertise in IP and Policy Development; - Demonstrate the capacity to write a research paper on IP and development issues satisfying the requirements of objectivity, structure, analytical reasoning and independence. |
The programme will provide students with the in-depth knowledge, expertise and practical know-how to operate as IP policy makers for development and thought leaders in the public and private sector. |

What the scholarship offers
- Tuition waiver;
- Monthly stipend.
Please note:
- Successful candidates are advised to make financial provision for expenses which are not covered by the scholarship. The Department of Higher Education and Training does not offer any additional funding.
