
The Women for Africa Foundation is inviting applications for the Learn Africa Scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year under the Learn Africa Programme. The Programme is offering seventy-six (76) scholarships to African university students for Master's programmes, three (3) PhDs as well as some opportunities for research stays.
Forty-seven (47) of these scholarships will be face-to-face, twenty-four (24) online and five (5) hybrid. Thirty-five (35) of these programmes will be taught in Spanish, twenty-two (22) in English, ten (10) in French and nine (9) in will be bilingual English/Spanish.
The Learn Africa programme aims to promote the transfer of knowledge, exchange and training of African university students through scholarships offered by participating Spanish universities.

Who can apply?
- Women having nationality and residence in an African country.
- Be enrolled in an African university or have a university degree issued in an African country. For Postgraduate scholarships, a Bachelor's degree is required. The required degree may vary depending on the scholarship applied for (see detailed information on each programme via https://mujeresporafrica.es/becas-learn-africa-2022/).
- Meet the specific academic entry requirements for the programme you are applying for. Please visit the universities you are interested in to find out about the academic requirements prior to applying through https://mujeresporafrica.es/becas-learn-africa-2022/.
- Must provide certified copies of transcripts and certificates.
- For online programmes, applicants must have a computer, reliable internet connection and communication applications such as zoom or MS Teams.
- Language proficiency for the programme you apply for (English and Spanish).

What the scholarship offers
Online scholarships are only guaranteed for the cost of enrollment.
The face-to-face scholarships cover the costs of:
- Tuition;
- Round trip;
- Accommodation and meals (either in University Halls of Residence or by monthly allowance); and
- Health insurance.
Applicants will need to make provision for the following expenses not covered by the scholarship:
- Enrollment in subjects not passed in the ordinary or extraordinary call.
- Internet connection for online scholarships.
- The application and issuance of the visa to travel to Spain.
- The legalization, certification and translation of university degrees and the academic record (The destination university will require these documents from the beneficiary).
- The issuance of the title once the studies completed with the Programme.
- Any other daily or local transport expenses.

- Official accreditation of the language level if the programme requires it.
