The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) awards funding for a short-term research stay to doctoral candidates and young scientists and academics wishing to carry out research and continue their education in Germany for up to 6 months.
The research is carried out with a supervisor in Germany, whom applicants must identity themselves. The primary aim of the programme is to fund research projects in Germany in the context of doctoral programmes.
The programme provides funding for a research project or course of continuing scientific education at a state or state-recognised institution of higher education or a non-university research institute in Germany, which is being carried out in coordination with an academic adviser in Germany.
