The Chinese Government is inviting applications for the Youth of Excellence Scheme of China - Master Programme (YES CHINA) for the academic year 2024.
The YES China scholarship programme offers a one-year English taught master’s programme at participating Chinese institutions targeting public sector officials including university ad research institutions.
The programme aims to train global governance talents, with a broad international perspective, superior comprehensive quality, outstanding leadership, and multicultural background.
HIT is inviting public officials, senior management personnel in institutions and enterprises, and administrative staff in universities and scientific research institutions to apply for its master's programme in business administration. The HIT Business Administration Programme is specifically designed to develop future leaders equipped with comprehensive management skills. Who can apply?
- South African citizens in good health both physically and mentally;
- Be under the age of 45;
- Must be in a possession of a Bachelor’s or higher degree;
- Must have at least 3 years’ work experience, some educational or professional experience in a field related to the Master’s programme applied for;
- An applicant must fall into one of the following four categories:
① A government official at the division chief level (or equivalent level) or above;
② A senior manager of an institution or enterprise;
③ An administrator of a university or scientific research institution;
④ Those who have relevant employment or internship experience in international organizations. - Must have applied to any of the participating Chinese institutions and gotten an offer letter. The pre-admission letter given by the university must contain all of the necessary information of registration, such as personal information, the admission date and major's information. It cannot contain any information about having received or promised to receive Chinese government scholarships.

What the Scholarship offers
- Tuition;
- Accommodation;
- Monthly living allowance;
- Medical insurance;
- One-way air ticket to China upon registration and a one-way air ticket back from China to the student’s home country after completion of studies.
Application process
STEP 1: Before applying, candidates must at least have a pre-admission letter from one of the 78 institutions.
STEP 2: Applications and supporting documents should be submitted through the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System at http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login before 15 April 2024.
STEP 3: Fill in the correct Programme Category and Agency Number.
When applying online, select "Type A" for "Scholarship Type". The agency code is 1563, and applicants need to select "Youth of Excellence Scheme of China".
